GGU-RETAIN: "Sum V FOS summary" menu item

Here you obtain all data relating to analysis of sum V displayed in a message box (see also “Theoretical principles: Analysis of mobilised passive earth pressure”).

If the analysis of vertical capacity is activated, it is output here with resistance R,d, action V,d and utilisation factor µ. Using "Analyse again" you change the settings of this analysis and repeat it.

The vertical components of the anchor and strut forces are used characteristically (Pv,k) in the analysis of mobilised passive earth pressure and as design values (Pv,d) in the analysis of vertical capacity. For soldier pile walls, bored soldier pile walls, bored pile walls and combined sheet pile walls, the analysis of vertical capacity refers to one element: the forces determined per metre of wall, including those of the anchors, are multiplied by the element spacing. A different anchor spacing is not considered separately.
